Reflecting on Our Success in 2008

As we turn the page on what was for many a tough economic year, it is important to look on the bright side at all the positive things we were able to accomplish.

In our continued efforts to be supportive of members of our surrounding community, Pafundi Real Estate helped raise more than $15,000 for some of our favorite non-profit organizations.

Earlier in the year we signed on to become a Partner in Education for Summit Hill Elementary School in the new city of Milton, Georgia. As a partner, we were able to bring in additional sponsors for the school and act as a sponsor for their annual Fall Festival.

Supporting the efforts of the Senior Services of North Fulton helped us to continue our work with families at the other end of the spectrum. In addition to helping solicit donations for the silent auction at their annual gala, Pafundi Real Estate assisted in the fundraising efforts for the Generations of Style Fashion Show held in November.

Many of you were contributors to our fundraising efforts and for that we are forever grateful.

Staying connected is an important part of our commitment to our community. If your organization serves a worthy member of our area, please let us know about any opportunities you might have for us to serve.

Many families rely on over-the-counter oral cough and cold medicines to help sick kids feel better, but we can never be too careful when caring for our kids.

To ensure that these medicines are used and stored safely, the "Treat with Care" campaign reminds parents:

• Always follow the label exactly and use the measuring device that comes with the medicine.
• Do not give a medicine only intended for adults to a child.
• Prevent unsupervised ingestions by keeping all medicines out of the reach and sight of children.
• Do not use antihistamine products to make a child sleepy.
• Consult a physician or healthcare professional with questions.
